What forms and particle sizes of dehydrated lemon does Dehydrated Veg offer?
Dehydrated Veg offers lemon in chopped, flakes, granules and powder forms. We can also process to a custom mesh size on request.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for lemon?
25 kg for a trial order. For bulk and export orders the typical minimum is 100 kg.
What is the shelf life of lemon, and how should it be stored?
Dehydrated lemon carries a 12-month shelf life from date of manufacture. Store in a cool, dry place below 20°C, in a closed warehouse, away from humidity and dust.
How does dehydrated lemon compare to fresh lemon in substitution ratio and flavour strength?
Dehydrated lemon rehydrates at approximately 1:4-1:5, and the hot-air drying process retains the natural citrus oils, so it carries a concentrated version of fresh lemon's tang and aroma. We recommend requesting a free sample to test the exact substitution ratio and flavour intensity for your specific formulation.
How fast can you ship lemon samples and bulk orders?
Stock items typically ship the same day. Custom orders (specific particle size or packaging) usually take 2-3 working days.
Which industries use dehydrated lemon, and what are its common applications?
Beverage and seasoning manufacturing, spice blends, instant soup mixes, snack foods, sauces and dressings, marinades, bakery flavouring, and HoReCa kitchens.
Do you provide quality certifications and a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for dehydrated lemon?
Yes, we provide a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and relevant quality documentation on request with each batch, covering parameters such as moisture, ash content and microbial testing. Share your specific certification requirement (FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, etc.) with our team before or during sampling.
What is the HS code for exporting dehydrated lemon?

Dehydrated Lemon Peel & Peel Powder
Dried lemon peel doesn’t stay yellow. As the rind dries, its oil glands oxidise and the colour shifts to a dark, near-black shade — a natural result of the process, not a quality defect, and it doesn’t cost the peel its aromatic oil content. That blackening is why our specification sheet lists colour as black rather than the citrus-yellow buyers sometimes expect on a first order; anyone sourcing lemon peel at scale should expect this shift and grade on aroma and oil retention rather than colour alone.
Peel and Peel Powder
We supply two forms: whole dried peel, in irregular pieces sized by however the rind naturally curls and breaks during drying, and peel powder, milled from the same dried peel. Peel suits applications where the raw material is macerated, infused or extracted on the buyer’s own line — herbal oil infusions and Ayurvedic formulations typically take peel directly. Powder is for anyone blending lemon peel into a finished mix — cosmetic and personal care formulations, herbal powders — where a consistent particle size matters more than the piece itself.
Processing
Fresh lemon peel arrives, is inspected for foreign matter, and is dried under controlled conditions without added heat treatments that would strip the volatile oils that give it aroma. Because the peel is irregular by nature — no two rind pieces dry into quite the same shape — we don’t cut to a fixed particle size for the peel form; powder is milled and sieved afterward for a uniform grade.
Where This Gets Used
Unlike most of our dehydrated vegetable lines, lemon peel is positioned primarily for Ayurvedic formulations, herbal oil extraction, and skin/hair/personal care manufacturing rather than as a food seasoning ingredient — that’s the application set our production is built around. It’s manufactured under the same hygienic, food-grade conditions as our other lines, so it’s suitable for food use as well if your formulation calls for it, but personal care and herbal buyers are the primary market for this product.
